In this holy time of Lent, where all believers seek to meditate on the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ for a period of 40 days (excluding Sundays), all the U.S. Churches of Olivet Assembly United States (OA USA) are taking the time to meditate on the suffering of Jesus through the book of John and other related passages.
Their hearts’ desire is to be able to know Christ and his suffering and somehow in this way attain the resurrection of the Lord (Philippians 3:10-11). Eagerly waiting for Easter Sunday, which this year will take place on April 17th, all churches of the OA USA are preparing Easter retreats that will be held nationwide (April 15th-17th).
Retreats are known to be a time to separate oneself from daily activities and fully focus on God in one mind and spirit. The goal is that through this Easter retreat, all the congregants could draw near to Christ and be made new in him by meditating on the cross and resurrection
