On November 28, 2024, churches of the Olivet Assembly of USA gathered in various locations across the country to celebrate Thanksgiving with heartfelt services and community fellowship.
“Thanksgiving season is something marvelous and deeply Christian as the Bible teaches us on Psalm 100:4 “We should enter his gates with Thanksgiving and into his courts with praise be thankful to him and bless his name.” shared P. Mark Spisak, General Secretary of Olivet Assembly USA.
At STL Immanuel Church, the congregation came together for a meaningful Thanksgiving service. Following the service, members enjoyed a “banquet of love,” fostering a spirit of gratitude and connection within the community.
In Los Angeles, the LA Pilgrim members held a special Thanksgiving service accompanied by a sumptuous dinner. The gathering served as a reminder of God’s grace. Every year, when we celebrate Thanksgiving Day, we remember the harvest meal shared between the Pilgrims and the Native Americans and take time to ask one another what we are most thankful for this year. The evening was filled with joyful fellowship as members expressed their gratitude to God.
Meanwhile, New York Immanuel Church also hosted a Thanksgiving service, bringing together local members to celebrate the season of gratitude. In Washington, D.C., a local church decorated its chapel with festive adornments, creating a welcoming environment for their Thanksgiving observance. To symbolize hope for the upcoming year, the church distributed 2025 calendars to all attendees.
The Atlanta Church joined in the celebrations by hosting a Thanksgiving Service and Dinner, while Nashville Jubilee Church held a graceful and abundant Thanksgiving Day service, emphasizing the theme of gratitude that resonated throughout all the gatherings.
These events not only highlighted the significance of Thanksgiving but also reinforced the bonds of community and faith among Olivet Assembly members across the USA.
