The worship concert hosted at the University of Houston-Clear Lake concluded with overflowing grace and powerful testimonies, featuring participation from over 40 local students and musicians.
The Holy Spirit worked powerfully as students worshiped together. Singers Keyla and Arren shared their testimonies of walking in faith with Jesus through various trials. Their openness made songs like “I Give You My Heart” and “Thank You Jesus for the Blood Applied” even more relatable and moving for the congregation.
This worship event provided an opportunity to engage with students who are mission-minded and interested in musical development.
One student expressed gratitude to a minister for inviting him to the concert: “Thank you for inviting me. It was exactly what I needed after my finals.”
A representative of the United States Olivet Assembly, who also attended the event, commented, “The event proved that musicians have high potential to create an atmosphere that draws a crowd quickly and breaks the ice. If we cast the net boldly and mend it carefully to care for those who come, then evangelism can happen at ten-fold speed. There was a lot of grace when I saw students leading at the front and testifying their faith to other students. It was refreshing to see how evangelism is not just done by ordained ministers but by young people who actively testify and invite others to turn to the Lord through worship.”
Reflecting on the event, they added, “From this experience, I realized that if there is a burning heart understanding the importance of salvation for everyone in our cities, we should not hold back. Perfection does not save; it is the raw desire to share everything we have with as many as possible, petitioning the Lord to let the gospel penetrate the hard ground. When the message is delivered and the voice of God is heard, that is when the Holy Spirit begins the good work in those who receive the gospel.”
Ministers give thanks and glory to God for the fruitful result of this worship concert. They pray for continued growth in the mission during the new school year.
